FLATTER WEBINAR SERIES
Your 12-week introduction to COURAGEOUS LEADERSHIP begins here.
PREPARATION SUMMARY READ CHAPTERS 1-3
To measure your progress toward your goal of Courageous Leadership proficiency, we must first measure where you start at “Day-Zero.” We will then measure your levels of knowledge at the end of each section and again at the end. With those objectives in mind, please complete the assessment to measure your day-zero level of knowledge of the ten Courageous Leadership characteristics. Keep in mind, there is no value in exaggerating your level of knowledge regarding the characteristics.
How Mentoring Works
Read the "Mentoring Overview." This overview explains what mentoring is, roles/responsibilities & how mentoring will work.
Select a Mentor
Identify a leader than you respect & trust. This informal mentoring relationship will provide opportunities to share experience, information, ideas & suggestions. Contact your mentor to identify the best day, time & location for meetings. Also, reach agreement on length for meetings. Send your mentor a confirmation email for the initial meeting which will lay the foundation for the rest of your mentor meetings.
As a matter of personal & professional development, Courageous Leaders should journal daily for somewhere between 15 and 30 minutes. In a quiet setting, this time includes contemplating the day's events & then capturing them in writing. Captured thoughts should, among other topics, span the continuum of the ten Courage Characteristics. During these 12 weeks, you will journal for approximately 20 hours with the intent that doing so will become a life-long practice.
